Confidence in the upturn in the economy has been well and truly marked by the recent expansion of Merlin Control Systems Ltd, an ISO9001 registered company offering automation and control systems for industrial plant and machinery. The company based in Brompton-on-Swale, Richmond, North Yorkshire has been providing custom built electronic systems to customers at home and abroad for the past fourteen years. The recent addition of two highly experienced members of staff has meant a broader spectrum of service can be provided. Machine refurbishment and upgrades encompassing all mechanical, electrical and electronic work are now offered in a "turn-key" project package. Merlin Control Systems is well known in the resistance welding field for the supply of welding controls and used welding and wire work machinery. A new spare parts and consumables department has also been opened, offering resistance welding consumables such as electrodes, current shunts and spot weld caps. A new tool room has also been added as part of the expansion project, this has facilitated the supply of copper and copper alloys in their raw form or as bespoke parts for customer's specific requirements.
