Alfa Laval – a world leader in heat transfer, centrifugal separation and fluid
handling – has won an order to supply equipment to a major brewery in Brazil.
The order, booked in the Food Technology segment, has a value of approximately
SEK 165 million and delivery is scheduled to start in 2014 and be finalized in
2015.
Alfa Laval will supply valves, pumps and heat exchangers to a process including
fermentation, maturation, cooling, filtration, blending and storage.

“The order confirms the good development we see in the brewery business, where
especially Brazil has developed well,” says Lars Renström, President and CEO of
the Alfa Laval Group.

Did you know that… Brazil is actually the third largest beer producer after
China and the US?
