Scheuerle Fahrzeugfabrik is one of Germany's innovation leaders: renowned institutes honour the TII Group subsidiary

Scheuerle Innovationfuehrer low res

Scheuerle Fahrzeugfabrik has been named one of Germany's leading innovators in the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (F.A.Z.). The basis for this is a recent study carried out by three respected institutes: Prognos, IMWF Institute and the F.A.Z. Institute. Researchers examined how many patents a: company has registered and to what extent these innovations affect other companies.

Scheuerle Fahrzeugfabrik, a subsidiary of the Transporter Industry International Group (TII Group) belonging to the Heilbronn entrepreneurial family headed by Otto Rettenmaier, is one of Germany's leading innovators. With this prestigious title, the renowned daily newspaper Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (F.A.Z.) has honoured the Pfedelbach-based company in a publication of a special edition of the newspaper. Only 1% of the 33,000 companies surveyed received the title of "Germany's Innovation Leader" – which included Scheuerle. The award is based on a scientific study performed by Prognos AG, the IMWF Institute for Management and Economic Research and the F.A.Z. Institute. It was carried out for the first time this year.

Scheuerle performed excellently regarding innovation leadership

In the category "Vehicles for the Transportation of Loads", which was relevant for Scheuerle Fahrzeugfabrik, the company scored 1016 points for innovation leadership and 347 points for innovativeness. The average score of all participating companies was 500 or more specifically 300 points. Compared to commercial vehicle manufacturers with similar products, Scheuerle finished ahead of numerous well-known companies with this rating. And even when going beyond the boundaries of product classes, the TII Group subsidiary left many renowned companies well behind.

Innovative strength of 33,000 companies analysed and assessed

The scientists surveyed a total of 33,000 companies in Germany ultimately filtering out 3,500 innovation leaders. The companies were able to collect index points in two categories namely innovation - the innovativeness of an invention - and the “Impact on others” category which in turn represents the degree of innovative leadership. The basis for the assessment was an analysis of inventions filed in the past ten years at more than 40 patent offices worldwide.

Innovation leadership is of great importance in business

Particularly today, innovation leadership is a very important quality for commercial enterprises. The pressure of competition is steadily increasing due to globalisation and digitisation. Innovative strength is a characteristic of companies that assert themselves nationally and internationally in spite of increasing pressure while also offering their customers outstanding added value through their innovative products according to the report in the special edition of the F.A.Z.
