From 16 to 18 May, F4F – Expo Foodtech will present in Bilbao (Spain) the latest innovations and solutions that will help the sector to improve its competitiveness and promote a more sustainable industry.
More than 250 exhibiting companies will showcase new developments in robotics, automation, food and beverage processing and packaging.
Around 450 international experts will share strategies, success stories and new business models in the food sector.
Madrid, 21th November 2022.- After the success of its last edition, which brought together 7,217 professionals from more than 25 countries, F4F - Expo Foodtech returns from 16 to 18 May 2023. For three days, Bilbao (Spain) will once again become the foodtech, showcasing the latest innovations and technological solutions that are transforming the food industry in all its segments. F4F - Expo Foodtech will bring together purchasing managers, plant managers and production managers from meat, dairy, fishing, bakery, prepared products, snacks, preserves and beverages companies that are looking for industrial or technological partners to improve their manufacturing processes.
It is estimated that the implementation of technologies such as automation, robotics, Artificial Intelligence, Digital Twin and cybersecurity, among others, will help to increase productivity in the food industry by 20%. That is why companies in the sector are already taking steps towards the use of these technologies: 15% of the robots installed worldwide are in F&B companies, while the use of Artificial Intelligence in the food and beverage industry is expected to grow by 45.7% between 2021 and 2027.
In this context, F4F - Expo Foodtech will bring together more than 250 exhibiting companies that will showcase the latest solutions in robotics and automation, processing and packaging machinery for the different segments of the food industry, as well as in food safety and science.
More than 150 hours of inspiration and knowledge transfer
Under the slogan 'Shaping the new rules of food' the Food 4 Future World Summit will reveal the latest trends in the food and beverage industry. More than 450 national and international experts in more than 150 hours of inspiration will address the key strategies to face the challenges of the sector and will share their experiences and success stories regarding the application of automation and robotics, the transition to Industry 4.0, the improvement of sustainability in the food industry and the demand for new plant-based foods. The conference has also designed different agendas for each industry segment and professional profile.
The Food 4 Future World Summit will also host the European Foodtech Nations Summit, which brings together pioneering European regions in food technology to share their innovation and digitalisation strategies, and the EIT Food Innovation Forum, the annual innovation forum organised by EIT Food.
In addition, F4F – Expo Foodtech will feature various activities to promote networking and synergies between all professionals in the sector, such as the Foodtech Innovation Awards 2023 -the awards that recognise the innovation proposals and solutions that will transform the food and beverage industry-, a Hosted Buyers programme with international buyers, the Foodtech Startup Forum -a forum that will host the entire ecosystem of international foodtech startups with a specific programme of 1to1 meetings-, the Leadership Summit -a lunch with executives from the leading companies in the sector-, and technology tours.
